Headteacher Blog - 28th March

We had a great day celebrating Red Nose Day as organised by the Senedd. The Senedd decided they wanted to fundraise for Comic Relief and The North Gower Food Hub. Thanks to our families for your generous donations.
Our Choir at the Brangwyn
🖤❤️What a performance!❤️🖤
We couldn’t be prouder of our amazing choir, who sang their hearts out at the NGP Partnership Music Festival! Their voices soared through three stunning songs, each one delivered with heart, passion, and pure joy.
✨A huge thank you to the incredible Mrs Davies, our passionate and dedicated choir lead, and to Ms Griffiths for her wonderful support.
✨Two of the songs sung were written by the brilliant Bronwen Lewis – a true inspiration to our choir. We’re such fans of her work, and it was a privilege to bring one of her beautiful songs to life on stage.
✨Well done, choir – you were sensational!✨#NGPFestival #PencSchoolChoir #PencProudMoment
Celebrating Our Success at the Urdd
🏴What an incredible time at the Urdd qualifiers🏴
❤️For the very first time, some of our amazing Y1-Y6 pupils took part—and wow, did they make us proud!
💚From a beautiful solo piano performance, to confident individual recitals to a stunning group recital and high-energy group dance, the talent and team spirit on display were truly inspiring.
🤍They cheered each other on every step of the way, showing exactly what teamwork and support look like.
❤️We’re thrilled to have come away with a fourth place and two second places—what an achievement!
💚Diolch to everyone who supported us, and an extra special diolch to the dedicated staff who made it all possible.#TeamPenc #Urdd2025 #ProudToBePenc #PencCYM #PencACL
🐣Y3-6 Eggs on the hill 🐣
Children Y3-6 will take part in an egg rolling competition on Friday 4th April. All they need to do is bring in a HARD BOILED decorated egg to roll down the hill by Park Road. Each class will be taken to Park Road where they will roll their eggs down the hill to see which travels the furthest. The winners will be announced in assembly.

🎶Tuneless Choir🎶
🎶Do you love to sing but have been told 'you can't!'
🎶Do you love to sing but lack confidence?
🎶When you sing does it make you happy?
Then would you consider joining a 'Tuneless Choir?' I am looking to put together a choir for ALL voices! We would meet once a week/fortnight locally and belt out some songs! Children would be welcome if they are interested in singing and are accompanied by an adult.
🎶If this is something that you would be keen on, please let me know.
You never know - we may one day stand on the Brangwyn Hall stage inspired by our very own choristers! Diolch, Mrs Nichola Davies
